Explore Ahmadi

Ahmadi is an important industrial city located in the southern part of Kuwait. It was originally established in the 1940s as a hub for the oil industry and remains central to Kuwait's petroleum sector today. The city is home to the headquarters of Kuwait Oil Company and is the base for many expatriates working in the oil and gas industry. Ahmadi has a mix of residential, commercial, and industrial areas, and it is more serene compared to the bustling urban centers of Kuwait City. Though Ahmadi is primarily known for its industrial significance, it also offers green spaces and parks, making it an excellent place for families to relax. The Ahmadi Gardens, with its well-maintained lawns and shaded pathways, is a popular spot for picnics and outdoor activities. The city also features several mosques, cafes, and markets, providing a more laid-back lifestyle than the urban centers.

Tourist Visa

Indian citizens require a tourist visa to enter Kuwait for leisure travel. They can apply for an eVisa or a visa through the Kuwaiti embassy or consulate in India before their trip. There is no visa on arrival for Indians.

In Kuwait, the process for obtaining a Visit or Business visa involves the following steps:

1. Sponsor Application: The sponsor (such as a host or employer in Kuwait) must apply for the visa on behalf of the visitor. This application is submitted to the Ministry of Interior in Kuwait.

2. Approval Process: If the application is approved by the Ministry of Interior, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) is issued.

3. Receiving the NOC: The original NOC is sent directly to the passenger. This document allows the visitor to travel to Kuwait.

4. Visa Stamping on Arrival: Upon arrival in Kuwait, the visitor presents the NOC, and the visa is stamped in their passport at the airport.

This process ensures that visitors have the necessary clearance and authorization to enter Kuwait for their visit or business purposes.
