Tourist Visa

Indian citizens can apply for an Egypt tourist visa online or get a visa on arrival at the airport. 

1. Egypt e-Visa

The e-Visa is a convenient option that allows Indian travelers to apply online without visiting an embassy or consulate. This electronic visa is suitable for tourism, business, or short-term visits.

2. Visa on Arrival

Indian citizens can obtain a visa on arrival at major Egyptian airports, including Cairo International Airport. This option is convenient for last-minute travelers but may involve longer processing times upon arrival.

3. Embassy Visa (Sticker Visa)

For those preferring to have their visa arranged before departure or requiring longer stays, applying through the Egyptian embassy or consulate is an option.

For a tourist visa to Egypt, here are the general requirements for Indian nationals:

Documents Required

1. Passport:

o Original passport valid for at least 6 months.

o Photocopy of the data and amendment pages of the passport.

o Original old passport booklets (if any).

2. Photographs:

o Two passport size recent color photographs with a white background.

3. Covering Letter:

o Addressed to the Visa Officer, Embassy of Egypt.

o Should be translated into English and/or Arabic if necessary.

o Brief profile of the applicants and purpose of travel with travel dates.

o Day-to-day itinerary detailing the purpose of visit.

o Plain paper for individuals, company letterhead for officials/sponsored applicants.

4. Bank Statements:

o Original 6 months personal and company bank statements with seal and signature from the bank.

o Minimum balance of INR 80,000.

o Statements should be from relevant and active accounts showing proof of funds and income.

o Closing date closer to the date of visa application (preferably A4 size).

o Foreign exchange endorsements or copy of international credit card.

5. Itinerary / Air Tickets:

o Return air tickets with all internal flight/train tickets (if any).

o Day-wise itinerary of the tour.

6. Purpose of Travel / Accommodation:

o Proof of accommodation/purpose at the destination.

o Booking certificate and payment receipts from the tour operator.

o Hotel confirmation from tour operator.

o Hotel vouchers.

7. Supporting Credentials:

  Businessmen:

o Proprietorship certificate / Certificate of Registration / Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association / Partnership Deed.

o NOC from other partners or Directors in case of partnership.

  Employees:

o Leave sanction letter from the company (from Government body for Government employees/public servants).

o Last 3 months Salary Statements (only for Private firms).

o Company ID card (optional).

o Retirement Certificate or Letter / Copy of Pension Book (for retired employees).

  Students:

o Leave sanction letter from the educational institution (for travel during working days).

o Bonafide Certificate from the educational institution (for travel during vacations).

o School/College ID card (optional).

  Newly Wed / Honeymooners:

o Marriage Certificate (Original).

o Wedding Invitation card / Photographs (if the marriage certificate is not ready).

 Children traveling unaccompanied by parents:

o Notary attested NOC on a stamp paper from both/either parent(s) if unaccompanied.

o Passport copies/copy of both/either parent(s).

  Travelers unaccompanied by spouses/partners:

o Notary attested NOC on a stamp paper from the unaccompanied spouse.

o Passport copy of the unaccompanied spouse or any Govt ID Proof mentioning spouse's name.

8. Additional Supporting Documents (if available):

o FD Receipts from banks.

o Public shares/debentures certificate.

o Asset evaluation report from a Chartered Accountant.
