Traditional Cypriot dishes include souvlaki (grilled meat skewers), halloumi cheese, and meze (a selection of small dishes served as appetizers). Cyprus is famous for its stunning beaches, which feature crystal-clear waters, golden sands, and dramatic cliffs. Popular beach destinations on the island include Nissi Beach, Fig Tree Bay, and Coral Bay. In addition to its beaches, Cyprus is also home to historic sites and archaeological treasures, including ancient ruins, medieval castles, and Byzantine churches. The archaeological site of Kourion, the Tombs of the Kings in Paphos, and the ancient city of Salamis are just a few examples of Cyprus's rich history. Cyprus offers a wide range of outdoor activities for visitors, including hiking, cycling, water sports, and exploring its natural beauty. The Troodos Mountains, Akamas Peninsula, and Cape Greco National Forest Park are popular destinations for outdoor enthusiasts.
