Da Nang, a coastal city in central Vietnam, is known for its sandy beaches, historical landmarks, and vibrant modernity. It is a major port city and one of the most important economic hubs in Vietnam. My Khe Beach: Often cited as one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam, My Khe is known for its long stretch of white sand, clear blue water, and gentle waves, making it ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports. Non Nuoc Beach: Another popular beach known for its tranquil atmosphere and scenic beauty, often frequented by both locals and tourists. A cluster of five marble and limestone hills named after the five elements (Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, and Earth). The mountains are home to numerous caves, tunnels, and Buddhist sanctuaries, and offer stunning views of the surrounding area. Also known as Monkey Mountain, this peninsula offers lush forests, stunning coastal views, and wildlife, including the endangered red-shanked douc langur. The Linh Ung Pagoda, with its massive Lady Buddha statue, is a prominent landmark here. A hill station and resort located about 25 km west of Da Nang. It features the famous Golden Bridge, held up by giant stone hands, a French village, gardens, and an amusement park. The cable car ride to the top offers spectacular views. A modern bridge that spans the Han River, designed to resemble a dragon. It is particularly famous for its evening light shows, during which the dragon breathes fire and water. The river runs through the city, and its banks are lined with cafes, restaurants, and promenades. Boat tours on the river are popular, especially at night when the bridges and buildings are illuminated. This museum houses the largest collection of Cham artifacts in the world, including sculptures and relics from the ancient Champa Kingdom that once ruled central and southern Vietnam. Located about 30 km south of Da Nang, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is known for its well-preserved architecture, lantern-lit streets, and rich cultural heritage. It’s a popular day trip from Da Nang. Another UNESCO World Heritage Site, located around 70 km from Da Nang. It is a complex of ancient Hindu temples constructed by the Champa civilization between the 4th and 14th centuries. Da Nang is famous for its culinary delights, including local specialties like Mi Quang (a type of noodle dish), Banh Xeo (Vietnamese pancakes), and seafood. Da Nang has seen significant urban development in recent years, with modern infrastructure, shopping malls, and luxury resorts enhancing its appeal as a tourist destination and business hub. Da Nang’s combination of natural beauty, historical significance, and modern attractions makes it a versatile destination for travelers seeking both relaxation and adventure.

​Tourist Visa

Indian citizens planning to visit Vietnam for tourism purposes are required to obtain a visa prior to their arrival. Vietnam offers several visa options for Indian travelers, including e-Visas, visas on arrival, and visas obtained through the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate.​

1. E-Visa:

Vietnam's e-Visa system allows Indian nationals to apply online for a single or multiple-entry visa valid for up to 90 days

E-Visa Requirements for Vietnam:

  • A valid passport with at least six months' validity and one blank page 
  • A digital passport photo 
  • A scanned bio-data page 
  • A valid email address 
  • A credit/debit card to pay the fee 
  • Details about your itinerary 
  • Proof of hotel bookings and flight bookings 
  • Port of Entry and Exit Details
2. Visa on Arrival (VOA):

Indian travelers can also opt for a Visa on Arrival, which requires obtaining a pre-approval letter from a Vietnamese travel agency before departure. This visa is typically valid for a single entry with a maximum stay of 30 days. 

3. Embassy/Consulate Visa:

Alternatively, you can apply for a visa directly at the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate in India. 

Required Documents:

  • Original passport valid for at least six months with a minimum of two blank pages.​
  • Two passport-sized photographs (4x6 cm) with a white background.​
  • Flight tickets and hotel booking confirmations.​
  • Bank statements for the last six months.
