Indian passport holders require a tourist visa to enter the Dominican Republic. However, if you possess a valid multiple-entry visa or residence permit for the USA, Canada, UK, or Schengen countries, you may be eligible to obtain a tourist card upon arrival for tourism purposes .​

For a tourist visa to the Dominican Republic, here are the detailed requirements for Indian nationals:

Documents Required

1. Passports:

o Original passport with at least 6 months validity and 2 blank pages.

o Original old passport booklets (if any).

2. Photographs:

o 2 photographs each.

o Specifications: White background, glossy finish, 80% face coverage with a little shoulder visible, dimensions: 45mm x 35mm.

3. Covering Letter:

o Addressed to the Visa Officer, Embassy of the Dominican Republic.

o Must be translated into Spanish.

o Brief profile of the applicants and purpose of travel with travel dates.

o Plain paper for individuals, company letterhead for officials/sponsored applicants.

4. Bank Statements:

o Bank letter mentioning:

  • Date of opening of the account.
  • Annual average balance maintained during the year.
  • Date of last deposit.

o Must be submitted along with a Spanish translation.

5. Itinerary / Air Tickets:

o Return air tickets with all internal flight/train tickets (if any).

o Day-wise itinerary of the tour.

6. Purpose of Travel / Accommodation:

o Proof of accommodation/purpose at the destination.

o Booking certificate and payment receipts from the tour operator.

o If invited by a friend/relative, attach an invitation letter in Spanish:

  • Notarized and legalized by Procuraduría General de la República Dominicana.
  • Must include a specific clause (as detailed in your message).

o Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) - Apostille (if applicable) or attested by Ministry of External Affairs/ Ministry of Foreign Affairs with respective government.

o Dominican ID (Cedula) or Migration Status of the Guarantor.

o Hotel vouchers or other accommodation proof as applicable.

o All supporting documents must be submitted along with Spanish translations.
