Tourist Visa

Indian citizens planning to visit Iceland for tourism purposes are required to obtain a Schengen short-stay visa, commonly known as the Type C visa. This visa permits a stay of up to 90 days within a 180-day period and grants access to all Schengen Area countries, including Iceland.

For a tourist visa to Iceland, you'll need to prepare the following documents:

1. Passport: Original passport with at least 6 months validity and 2 blank pages. Include a full-color photocopy of all passport pages.

2. Photographs: 3 passport-sized photos with white background, glossy finish, and specific dimensions (45mm x 35mm).

3. Covering Letter: Addressed to the Visa Officer at the Denmark Embassy in New Delhi, detailing your profile, purpose of travel, and travel dates. For individuals, this can be on plain paper; for officials or sponsored applicants, on company letterhead.

4. Bank Statements: Original statements for the last 3 months from personal and company accounts, showing proof of sufficient funds and income.

5. Income Tax Returns: Latest 3 years' Income Tax Acknowledgement (ITR-V, Saral) for individuals and the company.

6. Itinerary/Air Tickets: Return air tickets with internal flight/train tickets if applicable. Provide a day-wise itinerary of your tour.

7. Purpose of Travel/Accommodation: Proof of accommodation like booking certificates and payment receipts from a tour operator, along with hotel vouchers.

8. Supporting Credentials: Depending on your status:

o Businessmen: Proprietorship certificate, partnership deed, NOC from partners or directors.

o Employees: Leave sanction letter, last 3 months' salary statements, optional company ID card.

o Students: Leave sanction letter from educational institution, bonafide certificate, optional school/college ID card.

o Newly Wed/Honeymooners: Marriage certificate (original), wedding invitation/photos if certificate is not available.

o Children traveling alone: Notary attested NOC from parents, passport copies of parents.

o Travelers unaccompanied by spouses/partners: Notary attested NOC from spouse, spouse's passport copy or government ID mentioning spouse's name.

9. Additional Supporting Documents: FD receipts, public shares/debentures certificate, asset evaluation report (if available).

10. Travel Insurance: Valid travel insurance covering the duration of your travel with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000.
