Tourist Visa 

To obtain a tourist visa for Norway, individuals generally need a Schengen Visitor Visa. This visa allows for stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period and is valid for entry to all Schengen countries. 

For a tourist visa to Norway, the following documents and particulars are required:

Documents and Particulars

1. Passports

• Original Passport: Valid for at least 6 months with at least 2 blank pages.

• Old Passport Booklets: If any, must be included.

2. Photographs

• Quantity: 3 photographs.

Specifications:

o White background.

o Glossy finish.

o 80% face coverage with a little shoulder visible.

o Eyes and face clearly visible.

o Dimensions: 45mm x 35mm.

3. Covering Letter

• Addressed to: The Visa Officer, The Royal Norwegian Embassy.

Contents:

o Brief profile of the applicants.

o Purpose of travel.

o Travel dates.

       Format:

o Plain paper for individuals.

o Company letterhead for officials or sponsored applicants.

4. Bank Statements

       Personal and Company's Bank Statements:

o Original statements for the last 6 months.

o Seal and signature from the bank.

o Active accounts showing proof of funds and income.

o Statements should be of a closing date close to the date of visa application (A4 size preferred).

5. IT Returns

• Latest 3 Years Income Tax Acknowledgement / ITR-V (Saral): For individuals and the company.

6. Itinerary / Air Tickets

• Return Air Tickets: Including all internal flight/train tickets if any.

• Day-wise Itinerary: Detailed plan of the tour.

7. Purpose of Travel / Accommodation

Proof of Accommodation/Purpose at Destination:

o Booking certificate.

o Payment receipts from the tour operator.

o Hotel vouchers.

8. Supporting Credentials

           Businessmen:

o Proprietorship certificate.

o Certificate of Registration.

o Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association.

o Partnership Deed.

o NOC from other partners or directors in case of a partnership.

       Employees:

o Leave sanction letter from the company (or government body for public servants).

o Last 3 months salary statements (for private firms).

o Company ID card (optional).

o Retirement certificate or letter/pension book (for retired employees).

o Pension statements for the last three months.

       Students:

o Leave sanction letter from the educational institution (for travel during working days).

o Bonafide certificate from the educational institution (for travel during vacations).

o School/college ID card (optional).

      Newly Wed/Honeymooners (if the spouse's name is not endorsed in their passports):

o Marriage certificate (original).

o Wedding invitation card/photographs (if the marriage certificate is not ready).

     Children Traveling and Unaccompanied by Both Parents/Either Parent:

o Notary attested NOC on a stamp paper from both/either parent.

o Passport copies/copy of both/either parent.

o Birth certificate of the applicant and copies of the ID cards of the parents (if parents don't have passports).

     Travelers Unaccompanied by Spouses/Partners:

o Notary attested NOC on a stamp paper from the unaccompanied spouse.

o Passport copy of the unaccompanied spouse. If not a passport holder, any government ID proof mentioning the spouse's name.

9. Additional Supporting Documents (if available)

• Aadhaar card (along with a photocopy).

• FD receipts from banks.

• Public shares/debentures certificate.

• Asset evaluation report from a CA.

• All copies of documents must be photocopied and on A4 size paper.

10. Travel Insurance

• Coverage: Valid travel insurance from embassy-approved companies.

• Coverage Amount: Minimum coverage of EUR 30,000.

• Coverage Period: Should cover the days of travel.
