The city attracts adventure seekers from around the world due to its scenic beauty and thrilling outdoor experiences. In addition to its spiritual significance, Rishikesh is also a starting point for the Char Dham Yatra pilgrimage circuit, which includes Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Many pilgrims visit Rishikesh as a prelude to embarking on this sacred journey. Rishikesh is home to several ancient temples, including the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, Bharat Mandir, and Trayambakeshwar Temple, which attract devotees and tourists alike. The surrounding region of Rishikesh offers opportunities for ecotourism and nature exploration. Visitors can explore the Rajaji National Park, home to diverse flora and fauna, and engage in activities such as wildlife safaris and birdwatching.
