Tourist Visa

Indian citizens require a visa for tourist travel to Tanzania, which can be obtained either on arrival at the main ports of entry or by applying online in advance. 

Visa Options:

  • Visa on Arrival:

You can get a single-entry tourist or business visa on arrival at the main ports of entry in Tanzania, provided you meet the immigration requirements. 

  • Online Application:

You can also apply for a visa online through the Tanzania Immigration website. 

  • Referral Visa:

Applicants who fall under the Referral Visa category MUST apply online and cannot obtain a visa on arrival. 

Tourist E-Visa application to Tanzania, you will need to provide the following documents and details:

Documents Required:

1. Passport:

o Format: JPEG or PNG

o Size: 300 KB maximum

o Requirement: Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of application.

2. Photo:

o Format: JPEG or PNG

o Size: 300 KB maximum

o Requirement: Follow specific photo requirements for size, background color, and face coverage.

3. Onward & Return Ticket:

o Format: PDF

o Size: 1 MB maximum

o Requirement: Include proof of your travel itinerary with both onward and return tickets.

4. Employment Details:

o Requirement: Provide information about your current employment or occupation, such as a letter from your employer or other proof of employment.

5. Travel and Accommodation Details:

o Requirement: Provide a detailed itinerary of your travel plans and accommodation arrangements.

o Include hotel reservations, booking confirmations, or other proof of accommodation.

6. Details of Any Other Countries of Residence:

o Requirement: Provide information about any other countries where you currently reside or have resided recently.

7.     Yellow fever vaccination

o      A valid yellow fever certificate is required for all foreign visitors and citizens over 1 year of age traveling from an infected area or having been in transit through infected areas in the last 6 days 

Application Process:

1. Prepare Documents:

o Ensure all documents are in the specified formats and sizes.

2. Fill Out Application:

o Complete the e-Visa application form online and upload the required documents.

3. Submit Application:

o Submit the application through the official Tanzanian e-Visa portal.

4. Pay Fee:

o Pay any applicable visa fee as part of the online application process.

5. Receive E-Visa:

o Once approved, you will receive the e-Visa electronically. Print a copy to carry with you during your travel.
