Tourist Visa
As of April 18, 2025, Turkmenistan has enacted a new law introducing electronic visas (e-visas), aiming to simplify the entry process for foreign nationals. This development eliminates the previous requirement for a formal Letter of Invitation (LOI) from a licensed Turkmen travel agency, which was a significant barrier for tourists.
However, the specifics regarding the types of e-visas available, their issuance procedures, and validity periods are yet to be detailed by the Turkmen government. Until the e-visa system is fully operational, travelers must adhere to the existing visa application process.
