Tourist Visa
Nepal offers Visa on Arrival for most nationalities at Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu) and other entry points. However, citizens of certain countries must obtain a visa in advance.
Visa Extension
Tourist visas can be extended up to a total of 150 days in a visa year (January to December). Extensions are available at the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu or the Immigration Office in Pokhara
For Indian nationals:
1. Visa Requirement:
o No visa is required.
o Visa fees are not applicable.
2. Documents for Identity Verification (Effective from October 1, 2000):
o Valid Indian passport or Voter ID Card.
o Sufficient funds to cover the stay in Nepal.
o Emergency Certificate Issued by the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu
o Photo identity card issued by the Government of India, State Government, Union Territory Administration, or the Election Commission of India
These documents are required to establish identity and facilitate entry into Nepal.
