​Christmas Island is an external territory of Australia, and its visa requirements align with Australia's immigration policies.

Indian citizens generally require a visa to enter Christmas Island for tourism purposes. There is no visa on arrival or e-visa facility available. However, as Christmas Island is part of Australia, the visa requirements are the same as for visiting Australia. Indian nationals can apply for an Australian tourist visa online through the Australian Department of Home Affairs website. 

Visa Requirements for Indian Citizens

Indian passport holders must obtain an Australian visa before traveling to Christmas Island. There is no visa on arrival option for Indian nationals.​

General Requirements:

• Valid Passport: Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay.​
• Visa Application: Apply for the appropriate Australian visa, such as the Visitor visa (subclass 600), which allows for tourism purposes.​
• Proof of Onward Travel: Evidence of return or onward travel from Christmas Island.​
• Financial Means: Proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay.​
• Health and Character Requirements: You may need to undergo health examinations and provide police clearance certificates.
