Day 1 Amboseli National Park

Your safari starts here, and we're as excited about getting going as you are. We're really looking forward to meeting you, introducing you to your guide, and taking you out on the first steps of your safari. The best thing about visiting Amboseli is seeing large elephants with big tusks with Africa's highest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m), in the background. It's also an excellent place to see lions, cheetahs, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, hyenas, wildebeests and gazelles. Also, 420 bird species have been recorded here, so make sure you bring your binoculars.

  • In Jomo Kenyatta International Airport this morning someone from our company will meet and greet you as an introduction to your journey with us.

Afternoon

The safari tents at Kibo Safari Camp, close to wildlife-rich Amboseli National Park, are nice and big, and the stone floors keep things cool even when temperatures rise. Each tent has rustic wood furnishings and a large private terrace, and there are views of Mt Kilimanjaro from many places around the property. It also has a swimming pool, bar and a good restaurant.

Day 3 Lake Naivasha

We think you'll love exploring Lake Naivasha, the highest (and one of the loveliest) of Kenya's Rift Valley lakes. Watch for hippos out on the lake, and for zebras and giraffes around the lakeshore.

Walking safari, Crescent Island Game Park

You'll never get tired of going on a walking safari,where you'll leave behind the vehicle and step outinto the wild. It can be a little nerve-wracking at first,but you'll be walking with an experienced guide andit's very safe. It can be a real thrill walking in this way, and most people fall in love with the experience.

Day 4 Masai Mara National Reserve

Welcome to one of the best safari destinations in Kenya. Here in the Masai Mara National Reserve, you're almost certain to see lions, hyenas, hippos, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas and zebras, not to mention the more-than-500 species of birds that have been recorded here. There's also a good chance you'll encounter leopards and cheetahs. Another memorable thing about visiting the Masai Mara is the landscape of vast savannah grasslands with plenty of flat-topped acacia trees.

Day 7 Nairobi

It's worth taking the time to explore Nairobi, which is both your gateway to so many safari experiences and a fascinating destination in its own right. Here you'll find museums, a national park and wildlife-rescue centers to go with the excellent shops, markets, restaurants, hotels and nightlife, as well as endlessly interesting street life.

You'll visit the Giraffe Centre, which combines serious conservation with unforgettable giraffe encounters. The elevated platform has fascinating information panels and allows you to come face-to-face with (and feed) endangered Rothschild's giraffes.
