Package Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive to Paro | drive to Thimphu, 54 Km/1 hour drive

The flight to Paro crosses the Himalayan Mountains, affording spectacular views of the awesome peaks, including the sacred Jumolhari and Jichu Drake peaks in Bhutan. On arrival, you will be greeted by the guide and escorted to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. The road leads through the Paro Valley to the confluence of Paro and Thimphu rivers at Chuzom. From Chuzom, the road follows Wangchu River upstream as you pass through villages and suburbs to the capital, Thimphu. Check into your hotel on arrival. After lunch, you can visit the giant Buddha Statue, Motithang Takin Preserve and Tashichho Dzong. Evening, stroll in Thimphu city and absorb the lifestyle of the people. Overnight hotel in Thimphu. 

Day 2 Thimphu to Punakha, 76 Km/2-3 Hours drive

Enjoy scenic drive to Punakha. Stop at Dochula pass (3150 meters) where on a clear day you can get spectacular views of the Himalayas. When you arrive at Metshina Village, you can take 20-minute walk through rice fields to Chimi Lhakhang, the Divine Madman’s temple popularly considered to be a temple of fertility. Take lunch in one of the restaurants and continue drive to Punakha. On arrival, visit Punakha Dzong, which is noteworthy for being one of the most beautiful Dzongs in Bhutan. Day 3 Hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten | Drive to Paro, 120 Km/4 Hours drive

Walking distance - 1-2 Km | Time - 1 hour | Difficulty – Easy

 After breakfast, we will take you on a walk through homesteads and farmland up to Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten, a delightful 3 story chorten that looks down on the upper Punakha Valley. The views of the valley and the surrounding snow-capped mountains are stunning. You can linger here for some times relaxing and simply appreciating the harmonious beauty of the location. Hike back till road point and then begin your journey back to Paro. Check into your hotel on arrival. Evening is free to stroll in Paro Town. Walking through the market and meeting with the people will be an enjoyable experience. Overnight hotel in Paro. 

Day 4 Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery

Walking distance: 7 Km, Time: 4-5 hours, Difficulty: Medium-Hard 

Hike up to the Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) monastery, the most famous pilgrim site, which clings to the rock at 3180m. According to the legend, it is believed that Guru Rimpoche, the 8th century Spiritual Master, flew to this location on the back of a tigress to meditate. Lunch will be served at Cafeteria Restaurant halfway up on the mountain. Explore the monastery and hike back to Paro. This evening, you will visit traditional farmhouse to see people’s way of life. Also experience the traditional Hot Stone Bath and typical Bhutanese dinner with “ara”, a local wine produced by a brewery of wheat or rice. This is a fantastic conclusion to your stay in Bhutan! Day 5 Depart Paro

Morning, you will drive to the airport for departure. Our representative will bid you farewell.
