Tourist Visa 

1. Passports

Original Passport: Valid for at least 6 months with at least 2 blank pages.

Photocopy: Data and amendment pages of the applicant's passport.

Original Old Passport Booklets: If any.

2. Photographs

Quantity: One.

Size: 4cm x 5cm.

Specifications: Taken no more than 6 months ago; scanned photos are not acceptable.

3. Covering Letter

Addressed To: The Visa Officer, Embassy of Brazil.

Content: Brief the profile of the applicants and the purpose of travel with travel dates; state the purpose of visit and day-to-day details.

Type: On plain paper for individuals and on company letterhead for officials/sponsored applicants.

4. Bank Statements

Original Statements: For the last three months stamped and signed by the bank officer, showing contact details of the bank.

Relevance: Statements should be of relevant and active accounts that show proof of funds and income.

Format: A4 size preferred; simple copies or computer scans are not accepted.

5. Itinerary / Air Tickets

Return Air Tickets: Required.

6. Purpose of Travel / Accommodation

Hotel Vouchers: Or other accommodation proof.

Explanation Letter: Outlining the purpose and day-to-day program itinerary of your trip.

Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate: Required.

Invitation Letter: When visiting relatives/friends in Brazil, a notarized invitation letter from a Brazilian citizen or resident permit holder assuring responsibility for housing and related expenses.

7. Supporting Credentials

Authority Letter: On company letterhead from the applicant in favor of the travel agent to submit and collect the passport.

Credit Card Statements: International.

Businessmen

Documents: Proprietorship certificate/Certificate of Registration/Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association/Partnership Deed/PAN Card.

NOC: From other partners or directors in case of a partnership.

Employees

Leave Sanction Letter: From the company (or government body for public servants).

Salary Statements: Last 3 months (for private firms).

Company ID Card: Optional.

Retirement Certificate: Or letter/Copy of Pension Book (for retired employees).

Pension Statements: Last three months.

Students

Leave Sanction Letter: From the educational institution (for travel during working days).

Bonafide Certificate: From the educational institution (for travel during vacations).

ID Card: Optional (School/College).

Newly Wed / Honeymooners (if the spouse's name is not endorsed in their passports)

Marriage Certificate: Original.

Wedding Invitation Card/Photographs: If the marriage certificate is not ready.

Special Requirements for Minors

Birth Certificate: Presentation of the original or a notarized copy; copies without the original must be legalized by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India.

Children Traveling Unaccompanied by Both/Either Parent

NOC: From both parents mentioning whether they are accompanying or not.

Passport Copies: Of both/one parent.

Alternative Documents: Birth certificate of the applicant and copies of the ID cards of the parents if they do not have passports.

Travelers Unaccompanied by Spouses/Partners

NOC Letter: From the unaccompanied spouse.

Passport Copy: Of the unaccompanied spouse or any government ID proof mentioning the spouse's name if not a passport holder.

Business Visa to Brazil:

1. Passport

Original passport: Valid for at least 6 months with at least 2 blank pages.

Photocopy: Data and amendment pages of the applicant's passport.

Old passport booklets: If any, original copies required.

2. Photograph

One recent photograph: Size 4cm x 5cm, taken no more than 6 months ago (scanned photos are not acceptable).

3. Covering Letter

For Individuals/Families: Plain paper.

For Company Officials/Sponsored Applicants: Company letterhead.

Content: Brief profile of the applicants, purpose of travel with dates, and day-to-day details.

Address: The Visa Officer, Embassy of Brazil.

4. Bank Statements

Original bank statements: Last three months, stamped and signed by a bank officer, showing contact details of the bank.

Relevance: Must show proof of funds and income, with a closing date closer to the visa application date (A4 size preferred).

5. Itinerary / Air Tickets

Return air tickets: Required.

6. Purpose of Travel / Accommodation

Invitation Letter: One-page, notarized in Brazil, from a Brazilian company, in Portuguese, including:

Applicant's name and position.

Purpose and activities in Brazil.

CNPJ number, address, and telephone number of the Brazilian company.

Dispatch Letter from Employer: Addressed to the Consular Service of the Embassy of India in New Delhi, including:

Employee's name and title.

Time of service.

Monthly salary.

Contact person in Brazil.

Detailed description of business activities.

Duration of stay.

Company's responsibility for the applicant.

Company bearing all trip costs.

Senior manager's signature and stamp.

For Self-Employed:

Bank letter with financial references.

Notarized copy of company registration.

Notarized brokerage notes for the last 6 months (if applicable).

For Production/Filming Activities: Permit from the Ministry of Culture of Brazil (ANCINE).

7. Supporting Credentials

Authority Letter: On company letterhead, authorizing a travel agent to submit and collect the passport.

Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.

Accommodation Proof: Hotel vouchers.

Credit Card Statements: International.

Businessmen:

o Proprietorship certificate / Certificate of Registration / Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association / Partnership deed / PAN Card.

o NOC from partners or directors (for partnerships).

Employees:

Leave sanction letter.

Last 3 months' salary statements.

Company ID card (optional).

8. Additional Notes

Unaccompanied Travelers (Spouses/Partners):

NOC letter from the unaccompanied spouse.

Passport copy or any government ID proof mentioning spouse's name.

Ensure all documents are complete and accurate to avoid delays in the visa application process.
