To travel to Ivory Coast (Côte d'Ivoire) for tourism purposes, visitors need to follow the specific visa requirements set by the Ivorian government. The requirements may vary depending on your nationality, but here are the general steps and documents you will need for a tourist visa:

1. Visa Application Form

Complete the tourist visa application form. This form is typically available at the Ivorian consulate or embassy in your home country, or it can be downloaded from their official website.

2. Valid Passport

You must have a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity remaining from the date of entry into Ivory Coast.

The passport should also have at least two blank pages for visa stamps.

3. Passport-sized Photographs

Provide two passport-sized photographs (usually 2x2 inches or 35mm x 45mm) that meet the specifications set by the embassy or consulate.

4. Visa Fee

Pay the applicable visa fee. The fee varies based on your nationality and the type of visa. It's important to check with the nearest Ivorian consulate or embassy for the exact cost.

5. Flight Itinerary

You will typically need to submit a copy of your round-trip flight reservation or itinerary showing your entry and exit from Ivory Coast.

6. Hotel Reservation or Accommodation Details

Proof of your stay, such as hotel reservations or a letter from a host in Ivory Coast, showing where you will be staying during your visit.

7. Proof of Sufficient Funds

You may be required to provide proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay in Ivory Coast. This can include recent bank statements, traveler’s checks, or evidence of employment or a sponsor.

8. Travel Insurance

Some consulates may require travel insurance that covers medical emergencies and repatriation.

9. Vaccination Requirements

Ivory Coast generally requires travelers to show proof of vaccination for Yellow Fever. You will need to present an International Certificate of Vaccination showing that you have received the yellow fever vaccine at least 10 days before your travel.

10. Additional Documents (if applicable)

Depending on the embassy or consulate, there may be additional requirements, such as a cover letter explaining the purpose of your visit or proof of employment.

Some travelers may also need to submit a criminal background check or provide biometric data.

11. E-Visa Option

Ivory Coast has introduced an e-Visa system for certain nationalities, allowing tourists to apply for a visa online. You can apply for the e-Visa through the official Ivorian government website, where you will need to fill out an online form, upload documents, and make the required payment.

The e-Visa is typically valid for short stays (up to 90 days) for tourism purposes.
