Transit Visa Requirements for Belarus
To apply for a transit visa to Belarus, you need to submit the following documents:
1. Passports
• The applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of the visa application.
• Submit original old passport booklets if any.
2. Photographs
• Two recent passport-sized photographs (35x45 mm) with a white background and 70-80% face coverage.
3. Covering Letter
• A covering letter addressed to The Visa Officer, The Consulate General of Belarus.
• The letter should include a brief profile of the applicants and the purpose of travel with travel dates.
• For individuals, the letter can be on plain paper. For officials or sponsored applicants, it should be on the company letterhead.
4. Bank Statements
• Original personal and company bank statements for the last 3 months, with the bank’s seal and signature.
• The bank statements should be of relevant and active accounts showing proof of funds and income.
• The statements should have a closing date close to the visa application date (A4 size preferred).
5. Itinerary / Air Tickets
• Return air tickets and all internal flight/train tickets if any.
• A day-wise itinerary of the tour.
6. Purpose of Travel / Accommodation
• Visa of the country of destination or, if a visa is not required, confirmed air tickets, railway tickets, road transport tickets, or ticket booking confirmation.
7. Travel Insurance
• Medical insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 10,000.
Ensure all documents are complete and accurate to facilitate a smooth visa application process.
Business Visa
Passports:
• Original Passport:
o Must have at least 6 months validity from the date of intended travel.
o Must have at least 2 blank pages.
o Should be issued within the last 10 years.
• Old Passport Booklets: Original old passport booklets, if any.
Photographs:
• Quantity: 3 photographs each.
• Specifications:
o White background.
o Glossy finish.
o 80% face coverage with a little shoulder visible.
o Eyes and face clearly visible.
o Dimensions: 45mm x 35mm.
Covering Letter:
• Addressed To: The Visa Officer, The Consulate General of Belgium.
• Content:
o Purpose of travel.
o Business relation with the Belgian business partner.
• Format:
o On company letterhead for officials/sponsored applicants.
o One letter per individual/family/company.
Bank Statements:
• Personal and Company's Bank Statements:
o Original statements for the last 3 months.
o Must include the bank’s seal and signature.
o Should show proof of funds and income.
o Preferably A4 size.
o Should be close to the date of visa application.
Income Tax Returns (ITR):
• Documents: Latest 3 years’ Income Tax Acknowledgement / ITR-V (Saral) for individuals and the company.
Invitation Letter:
• From Belgian Company: Stating the exact purpose and period of the visit.
• From Indian Company: Confirming the purpose and duration of the journey and guaranteeing to cover all costs that may arise during the stay in Belgium.
Itinerary and Air Tickets:
• Return Air Tickets: Including all internal flight/train tickets if any.
• Day-wise Itinerary: Detailed itinerary of the travel.
Purpose of Travel / Accommodation:
• Hotel Reservation: In Belgium and other EU Member States in case of onward travel.
Supporting Credentials:
For Businessmen:
• Proprietorship certificate / Certificate of Registration / Memorandum of Association / Articles of Association / Partnership Deed.
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from other partners or directors in case of partnership.
• Optional: Letter from a lawyer / chartered accountant / Chamber of Commerce confirmation of established business, certificate of registration of a company.
For Employees:
• Leave sanction letter from the company.
• Last 3 months’ salary statements (for private firms).
• Optional: Company ID card, Retirement Certificate or Letter / Copy of Pension Book (for retired employees).
For Students:
• Leave sanction letter from the educational institution (for travel during working days).
• Bonafide Certificate from the educational institution (for travel during vacations).
• Optional: School/College ID card.
For Newly Wed / Honeymooners (if spouse’s name is not endorsed in passports):
• Original Marriage Certificate.
• Wedding invitation card/Photographs (if the marriage certificate is not ready).
For Children traveling unaccompanied by both parents / either parent:
• Notary attested NOC on stamp paper from both/either parent if unaccompanied.
• Copies of the passports of both/either parent.
For Travelers unaccompanied by spouses/partners:
• Notary attested NOC on stamp paper from the unaccompanied spouse.
• Passport copy of the unaccompanied spouse. If not a passport holder, any Government ID Proof mentioning spouse name.
If the applicant is sponsored:
• Proof of sponsorship and/or private accommodation by completing a national form of the Schengen State concerned.
• Pension statements for the last three months.
• Proof of regular income generated by ownership of property or business.
Additional Supporting Documents (if available):
• FD Receipts from banks.
• Public shares/debentures certificates.
• Asset evaluation report from a CA.
Travel Insurance:
• Coverage: Valid Travel Insurance covering the days of travel with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000.
• Approved Companies: Must be from the Embassy approved companies.
