Tourist Visa 

For Indian citizens, a tourist visa is generally required to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina. Indian citizens can apply for a visa through the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in India or through authorized visa agencies. The visa allows for a stay of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. 

Requirements

1. Passports

  • Original Passport: Must have at least 6 months validity and at least 2 blank pages.
  • Old Passports: If any, the original old passport booklets should be provided.

2. Photographs

  • Quantity: 2 photographs.
  • Specifications: White background, glossy finish, 80% face coverage with some shoulder visible, clear visibility of eyes and face.
  • Dimensions: 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm.

3. Covering Letter

  • Addressed to: The Visa Officer, The Consulate General of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • Contents: Brief the profile of the applicants, purpose of travel, and travel dates.
  • Format: Plain paper for individuals, company letterhead for officials/sponsored applicants.

4. Bank Statements

  • Original Statements: Last 3 months personal and company’s bank statements.
  • Details: Must be sealed and signed by the bank.
  • Account Requirements: Active accounts showing proof of funds and income.
  • Format: A4 size preferred; statements should have a closing date close to the visa application date.

5. Income Tax Returns

  • Latest 3 Years: Income Tax Acknowledgement/ITR-V (Saral) for individuals and the company.

6. Itinerary / Air Tickets

  • Return Air Tickets: With all internal flight/train tickets if applicable.
  • Tour Itinerary: Day-wise itinerary of the tour.

7. Purpose of Travel / Accommodation

  • Proof of Accommodation: Booking certificate and payment receipts from the tour operator or hotel vouchers.
  • Additional Documentation: Any proof related to the purpose of the visit.

8. Supporting Credentials (Depending on Applicant’s Occupation/Status)

Businessmen:

  • Proprietorship certificate / Certificate of Registration / Memorandum of Association, etc.
  • NOC from partners or Directors if in a partnership.

Employees:

  • Leave sanction letter from the company or government body.
  • Last 3 months salary statements (for private firms).
  • Company ID card (optional).
  • Retirement certificate/letter or copy of the pension book (for retirees).

Students:

  • Leave sanction letter (if traveling during working days).
  • Bonafide certificate from the educational institution.
  • School/College ID card (optional).

Newly Weds / Honeymooners:

  • Marriage Certificate (original).
  • Wedding invitation card or photographs if the marriage certificate is not ready.

Children Traveling Unaccompanied:

  • Notarized NOC from both/either parent(s).
  • Passport copies of both/either parent(s).

Travelers Unaccompanied by Spouses/Partners:

  • Notarized NOC from the unaccompanied spouse.
  • Passport copy or any government ID proof mentioning the spouse's name.

9. Additional Supporting Documents (if available)

  • Fixed deposit receipts from banks.
  • Public shares/debentures certificates.
  • Asset evaluation report from a CA.

10. Travel Insurance

  • Coverage: Valid travel insurance covering the travel days with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000.
  • Requirement: Must be from Embassy-approved companies.
