Special Permission for Bouvet Island

If you have a legitimate reason for visiting Bouvet Island (for example, for scientific research), you would need to contact the Norwegian Polar Institute or the Norwegian Directorate for Nature Management to obtain special permits. These agencies govern access to the island, and obtaining permission for any kind of visit would be highly restricted and require specific documentation.
