Tourist Visa
Indian citizens require a visa to visit Brunei Darussalam for tourism. The visa must be obtained from the High Commission of the Republic of Brunei in India. Applications should be submitted at least 30 days before travel, as some applications may need to be forwarded to Brunei Darussalam for further processing.
Documents Required:
1. Passport
- Original Passport: Valid for at least 6 months with at least 2 blank pages.
- Photocopy: First, second, and last page of the passport.
2. Photographs
- Two photographs: White background, glossy finish, 80% face coverage with a little shoulder visible, eyes and face clearly visible. Dimensions: 45mm x 35mm.
3. Covering Letter
- Addressed to: The Visa Officer, High Commission of Brunei Darussalam.
- Content: Brief profile of the applicants, purpose of travel with dates.
- For Individuals/Families: Plain paper.
- For Company Officials/Sponsored Applicants: Company letterhead.
4. Bank Statements
- Original bank statements: Last six months personal and company's bank statements, sealed and signed by a bank officer.
- Relevance: Must show proof of funds and income, with a closing date closer to the visa application date (A4 size preferred).
5. Itinerary / Air Tickets
- Return air tickets: Including all internal flight/train tickets if any.
- Day-wise itinerary: Detailed itinerary of the tour.
6. Purpose of Travel / Accommodation
- Accommodation Proof: Booking certificate and payment receipts from the tour operator, hotel vouchers
7. Supporting Credentials
Businessmen:
- Documents: Proprietorship certificate, Certificate of Registration, Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association, Partnership Deed, PAN Card.
- NOC: From other partners or directors in case of a partnership.
Employees:
- Leave sanction letter: From the company (government body for government employees/public servants).
- Salary Statements: Last 3 months (only for private firms).
- Optional: Company ID card.
- Retired Employees: Retirement Certificate or Letter, Copy of Pension Book.
- Pension Statements: Last three months.
Students:
- Leave sanction letter: From the educational institution (for travel during working days).
- Bonafide Certificate: From the educational institution (for travel during vacations).
- Optional: School/College ID card.
Newly Wed / Honeymooners:
- Marriage Certificate: Notarized copy.
- Wedding Invitation Card/Photographs: If the marriage certificate is not ready.
Children under 18 years traveling:
- Birth Certificate: Notarized/certified copy.
Travelers unaccompanied by spouses/partners:
- NOC: Notary attested on a stamp paper from the unaccompanied spouse.
- Passport Copy: Of the unaccompanied spouse. If not a passport holder, any government ID proof mentioning spouse name can be submitted.
Ensure all documents are complete and accurate to avoid delays in the visa application process.
