Tourist Visa Requirements for Eritrea (Indian Nationals)

Documents Required

1. Passports:

o Original passport with at least 6 months validity and at least 2 blank pages.

o Original old passport booklets (if any).

2. Photographs:

o 2 passport size photographs each.

o Specifications: White background, glossy finish, 80% face coverage with a little shoulder visible, dimensions: 45mm x 35mm.

3. Covering Letter:

o Addressed to the Visa Officer, Embassy of Eritrea.

o Brief profile of the applicant/family/company and purpose of travel with travel dates.

o Can be on plain paper for individuals and on company letterhead for officials/sponsored applicants.

4. Bank Statements:

o Original 6 months personal and company bank statements with seal and signature from the bank.

o Must show relevant and active accounts demonstrating proof of funds and income.

o Statements should have a closing date closer to the date of visa application (preferably A4 size).

5. Income Tax Returns:

o Latest 3 years Income Tax Acknowledgement / ITR-V (Saral) of individuals and the company.

6. Itinerary / Air Tickets:

o Return air tickets with all internal flight/train tickets (if any).

o Day-wise itinerary of the tour.

7. Purpose of Travel / Accommodation:

o Official Letter of Invitation from a sponsor in Eritrea.

o Approval of visa from the Immigration, directly sent to the Embassy.

o Proof of accommodation/purpose at the destination, including booking certificates and payment receipts from tour operator.

o Hotel vouchers.

8. Supporting Credentials:

o Businessmen:

Proprietorship certificate / Certificate of Registration / Memorandum of Association / partnership deed.

NOC from other partners or Directors in case of partnership.

o Employees:

Leave sanction letter from the company (Government body for Government employees/public servants).

Last 3 months Salary Statements (only for Private firms).

Company ID card (optional).

Retirement Certificate or Letter / Copy of Pension Book (for retired employees).

o Students:

Leave sanction letter from the educational institution (for travel during working days).

Bonafide Certificate from the educational institution (for travel during vacations).

School/College ID card (optional).

o Newly Wed / Honeymooners:

Marriage Certificate (Original).

Wedding Invitation card / Photographs (if the marriage certificate is not ready).

o Children traveling unaccompanied by parents:

Notary attested NOC on a stamp paper from both/either parent(s) if unaccompanied.

Passport copies/copy of both/either parent(s).

o Travelers unaccompanied by spouses/partners:

Notary attested NOC on a stamp paper from the unaccompanied spouse.

Passport copy of the unaccompanied spouse or any Govt ID Proof mentioning spouse's name.

9. Additional Supporting Documents (if available):

o FD Receipts from banks.

o Public shares/debentures certificate.

o Asset evaluation report from a Chartered Accountant.

10. Personal Appearance:

o Applicant has to personally submit the application at the Embassy.
