Tourist Visa

To get a Denmark tourist visa as an Indian citizen, you'll need a Schengen visa, which allows you to stay in Denmark for up to 90 days within a 180-day period, and you'll need to apply for it through a visa application center. 

When applying for a tourist visa for Denmark, the following documents and particulars are required:

1. Passports

Original Passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months with at least 2 blank pages.

Old Passport Booklets: If any, the original old passport booklets.

Photocopy of Valid Passport: A full-color photocopy of all pages of the valid passport.

Previous Visa Copies: If there are any valid visas for Schengen, USA, UK, Canada, or Australia (issued in the last three years) in old/canceled passports, a color photocopy of those visa pages and passport data pages are required.

2. Photographs

Quantity: 3 photographs each.

Specifications: White background, glossy finish, 80% face coverage with a little shoulder visible, eyes and face clearly visible, dimensions: 45mm x 35mm.

3. Covering Letter

Addressed to: The Visa Officer, Denmark Embassy, New Delhi.

Content: Brief profile of the applicants, purpose of travel with travel dates.

Format: Plain paper for individuals, company letterhead for officials/sponsored applicants.

4. Bank Statements

Requirement: Original 3 months personal and company's bank statements with bank seal and signature.

Accounts: Relevant and active accounts showing proof of funds and income.

Minimum Funds: DKK 350 per day if staying in a private home, DKK 500 per day if staying at a hotel.

Statement Date: Should be close to the date of visa application (A4 size preferred).

5. IT Returns

Documents: Latest 3 years Income Tax Acknowledgement / ITR-V (Saral) for individuals and the company.

6. Itinerary / Air Tickets

Tickets: Return air tickets with all internal flight/train tickets if any.

Tour Plan: Day-wise itinerary of the tour.

7. Purpose of Travel / Accommodation

Proof: Accommodation/ purpose at the destination, Booking Certificate, and payment receipts from the tour operator.

Hotel Vouchers: Required.

8. Supporting Credentials

Businessmen:

o Proprietorship certificate / Certificate of Registration / Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association/partnership deed.

o NOC from other partners or Directors in case of partnership.

Employees:

o Leave sanction letter from the company (or from Government body for public servants).

o Last 3 months Salary Statements (only for Private firms).

o Company ID card (optional).

o Retirement Certificate or Letter / Copy of Pension Book (for retired employees).

Students:

o Leave sanction letter from the educational institution (for travel during working days).

o Bonafide Certificate from the educational institution (for travel during vacations).

o School/ College ID card (optional).

Newly Wed / Honeymooners:

o Marriage Certificate (Original).

o Wedding Invitation card / Photographs (if the marriage certificate is not ready).

Children traveling unaccompanied by parents:

o Notary attested NOC on a stamp paper from both/either parent(s) if unaccompanied.

o Passport copies of both/either parent(s).

Travelers unaccompanied by spouses/partners:

o Notary attested NOC on a stamp paper from the unaccompanied spouse.

o Passport copy of the unaccompanied spouse or any Govt ID Proof mentioning spouse's name.

Additional Supporting Documents (if available)

FD Receipts: Fixed Deposit Receipts from banks.

Shares/Debentures: Public shares/debentures certificate.

Asset Evaluation: Report from a Chartered Accountant.

Travel Insurance

Requirement: Valid Travel Insurance from the Embassy approved companies covering the days of travel with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000.
