Tourist Visa
Indian citizens generally need a B/2 tourist visa to travel to Israel for tourism, visiting family, or other short-term purposes. This visa is valid for up to 90 days and does not allow for work while in Israel.
To apply for a tourist visa to Israel, Indian nationals need to prepare and submit the following documents and attend a personal interview at the Embassy or Consulate:
Documents Required
1. Passports:
o Original passport with at least 6 months validity and at least 2 blank pages.
o Original old passport booklets, if any.
2. Photographs:
o 2 passport-size color photographs with a white background (5.5cm x 5.5cm).
3. Covering Letter:
o Addressed to The Visa Officer, The Consulate General of Israel.
o Should include the profile of the applicants, purpose of travel, and travel dates.
o For individuals, the letter can be on plain paper. For officials or sponsored applicants, it should be on company letterhead.
4. Bank Statements:
o Original last 4 months personal and company’s bank statements with seal and signature from the bank.
o The name of the applicant should be certified by the bank in the statement.
o Statements downloaded from the internet are not accepted.
o Statements should show proof of funds and income and be of a closing date close to the date of visa application (A4 size preferred).
5. Itinerary / Air Tickets:
o Return air tickets with all internal flight/train tickets if any.
o Day-wise itinerary of the tour.
6. Purpose of Travel / Accommodation:
o Booking certificate and payment receipts from the tour operator.
o Day-to-day itinerary from the tour operator in Israel.
o Signed invitation letter from the host in Israel (in Hebrew or English) mentioning the name and passport number of the applicant, purpose of visit, duration of stay, and details of expenses.
o Passport copy and/or residence permit of the host in Israel.
o Hotel vouchers or other accommodation proof.
7. Supporting Credentials (Based on Applicant Type):
o Businessmen:
o Employees:
o Students:
o Newly Wed / Honeymooners (if the spouse's name is not endorsed in their passports):
o Children traveling and unaccompanied by both the parents / either parent:
o Travelers unaccompanied by spouses/partners:
o Additional Supporting Documents (if available):
8. Travel Insurance:
o Valid travel insurance from embassy-approved companies covering the days of travel with a minimum coverage of USD 40,000.
