Mauritius Tourist Visa Policy for Indian Citizens

  • Visa-Free Entry: Indian passport holders do not require a visa for stays up to 90 days. ​
  • Visa on Arrival: Upon arrival in Mauritius, Indian travelers are granted a visa on arrival valid for up to 90 days, provided they meet the necessary entry conditions. ​
  • Extended Stay: For stays beyond 90 days, a visa application must be submitted to the Passport and Immigration Office in Mauritius. ​


Entry Requirements for Indian Tourists

To ensure a smooth entry into Mauritius, Indian travelers should have the following documents:

  • Valid Passport: Must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay. ​
  • Return or Onward Ticket: Proof of return or onward travel is required. ​
  • Accommodation Proof: Confirmed hotel reservations or an invitation letter from a host in Mauritius. ​
  • Sufficient Funds: Evidence of sufficient funds to cover expenses during the stay, such as bank statements. ​
  • Travel Insurance: While not mandatory, it is advisable to have travel insurance to cover unforeseen events.
