Tourist Visa

To summarize the tourist visa requirements for Mexico and specific exemptions for Indian nationals and other nationalities:

Visa Exemptions:

Holders of valid U.S.A., Canada, United Kingdom, or Schengen visas: Do not require a Mexican visa for business, tourism, or transit purposes if the stay does not exceed 180 days.

Specific Requirements:

Official/Clergy of Religious Organizations: Require prior authorization from the Mexican Immigration Authority (INM).

General Visa Application Requirements:

1. Passports:

o Original passport with at least 6 months validity and at least 2 blank pages.

o Original old passport booklets, if any.

2. Photographs:

o 2 photographs with a white background, glossy finish, 80% face coverage, clear visibility of eyes and face, dimensions 45mm x 35mm.

3. Covering Letter:

o Addressed to The Visa Officer, Embassy of Mexico.

o Brief profile of applicants, purpose of travel, and travel dates.

o On plain paper for individuals or company letterhead for officials/sponsored applicants.

4. Bank Statements:

o Original 6 months personal and company's bank statements with bank seal and signature.

o Statements showing proof of funds and income, preferably on A4 size paper.

5. IT Returns:

o Latest 3 years Income Tax Acknowledgement/ITR-V (Saral) of individuals and the company.

6. Itinerary / Air Tickets:

o Return air tickets and all internal flight/train tickets, if any.

o Day-wise itinerary of the tour.

7. Purpose of Travel / Accommodation:

o Proof of accommodation/purpose at the destination.

o Booking certificates and payment receipts from the tour operator.

o Hotel vouchers.

Supporting Credentials:

Businessmen:

o Proprietorship certificate/Certificate of Registration/Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association/Partnership Deed.

o NOC from other partners or Directors in case of a partnership.

Employees:

o Leave sanction letter from the company (from the Government body in case of Government employees/public servants).

o Last 3 months salary statements (only for private firms).

o Company ID card (optional).

o Retirement certificate or letter/Copy of Pension Book (for retired employees).

Students:

o Leave sanction letter from the educational institution (for travel during working days).

o Bonafide certificate from the educational institution (for travel during vacations).

o School/College ID card (optional).

Newly Wed / Honeymooners (if the spouse's name is not endorsed in their passports):

o Marriage certificate (original).

o Wedding invitation card/photographs (if the marriage certificate is not ready).

Children traveling unaccompanied by both parents / either parent:

o Notary attested NOC on a stamp paper from both/either parent.

o Passport copies of both/either parent.

Travelers unaccompanied by spouses/partners:

o Notary attested NOC on a stamp paper from the unaccompanied spouse.

o Passport copy of the unaccompanied spouse or any Govt ID Proof mentioning spouse name.

Additional Supporting Documents (if available):

FD receipts from banks.

Public shares/debentures certificate.

Asset evaluation report from a CA.

Endorsement on passport/receipt of purchase of foreign exchange.

Important Notes:

Applicants will need to attend biometrics and a personal interview at the Embassy by scheduling an appointment through their online system.

Personal presence of the applicant is mandatory for the biometric process and interview.
