Tourist Visa

As of April 2025, Indian citizens planning to visit New Zealand for tourism purposes need to apply for a Visitor Visa. This visa allows you to stay in New Zealand for up to 9 months and can be used for leisure, family visits, or short-term study (up to 3 months).

Visitor Visa Overview

  • Duration: Stay up to 9 months within an 18-month period.
  • Activities Allowed: Tourism, visiting friends and family, or short-term study (up to 3 months).
  • Work Restrictions: Generally, you cannot work on a Visitor Visa. However, as of January 27, 2025, New Zealand has relaxed its visitor visa rules to attract digital nomads and influencers.
