Tourist Visa
Oman offers tourist visas online through an eVisa system, allowing for single or multiple entries with varying stay durations and validity periods. You can choose a 10-day single entry, a 30-day single entry, or a multiple-entry visa valid for one year with each stay not exceeding 30 days.
Indian citizens require a visa to enter Oman for tourism. They can apply for an e-visa online, which is a convenient and streamlined process. Two main types of tourist visas are available: a 10-day visa (26A) and a 30-day visa (26B).
1. Electronic Visa Implementation
o Effective from 21st March 2018, visas will only be granted electronically by the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
o Hand-processed visas at the airport will no longer be available.
2. Visa Eligibility for Indian Nationals
o Indian nationals who reside in or hold an entry visa to the United States of America, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, or Schengen states can obtain a non-sponsored tourist visa to enter Oman, subject to the terms and conditions set by the authorities.
3. Visa Acquisition via Sponsor
o Sponsor Requirements: The sponsor, either an individual or a travel agent in Oman, must apply for visa clearance from the Immigration Department.
o Submission Details: The sponsor needs to submit a photocopy of the applicant's passport and four passport-size photographs.
o Visa Clearance: Once approved, the visa clearance is sent directly to the applicant.
o Visa Stamping: The visa is stamped on the applicant's passport at the point of entry in Oman.
