Philippines Tourist Visa (9A) Requirements

Indian nationals may be granted visa-free entry into the Philippines for up to 14 days, provided they meet the following criteria:

Visa-Free Entry Requirements:

1. Valid Visa/Permanent Residence Permit: A valid (used or unused) multiple-entry visa or permanent residence permit from the USA, Japan, Australia, Canada, Schengen Area, United Kingdom, or Singapore.

2. Passport Validity: An Indian passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of departure from the Philippines.

3. Return/Onward Ticket: A return or onward ticket to the next country of destination.

4. No Derogatory Record: No derogatory record with the Philippine Bureau of Immigration.

For those who do not meet the visa-free entry requirements, the following documents are necessary for a tourist visa application:

Required Documents:

1. Passports

Original Passport: Valid for at least 6 months beyond the contemplated stay in the Philippines.

Photocopies: Data and amendment pages of the applicant's passport.

Old Passports: Original old passport booklets if any.

2. Photographs

Quantity: Two photographs.

Specifications: Size 2 x 2 inches, taken no more than 6 months ago. Scanned photos are not acceptable.

3. Covering Letter

Addressed to: The Visa Officer, Consulate General of the Philippines.

Contents: Brief profile of the applicants, purpose of travel, travel dates, and day-to-day details.

Format:

o For individuals: On plain paper.

o For officials/sponsored applicants: On company letterhead.

4. Bank Statements

Duration: Last 6 months.

Details: Stamped and signed by a bank officer, showing contact details of the bank.

Balance Confirmation: Certificate from the bank on bank letterhead with sign and seal from the bank.

Relevance: Should show proof of funds and income from active accounts.

Format: Preferably A4 size, with a closing date close to the date of visa application.

5. Income Tax Returns (ITR)

Duration: Latest 3 years.

Details: Income Tax Acknowledgement / ITR-V (Saral) of individuals and the company.

6. Itinerary / Air Tickets

Details: Return air tickets showing confirmed flight details.

7. Purpose of Travel / Accommodation

Proof: Hotel vouchers or other accommodation proof.

Invitation Letter: From inviting party (if applicable) indicating complete address and telephone number.

Family Visit: Invitation letter along with passport copy and/or resident permit, mentioning the place of accommodation for the applicant and who will cover the expenses for the duration of stay.

Financial Proof: Copy of credit cards and/or travelers' checks or foreign exchange endorsement on the passport.

8. Supporting Credentials

Businessmen:

Documents: Proprietorship certificate, Certificate of Registration, Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association, Partnership Deed, PAN Card.

NOC: From other partners or Directors in case of partnership.

PAN Card: Copy of Personal Assessment Number (PAN) Card.

Employees:

Documents: Leave sanction letter from the company (Government body for public servants), last 3 months salary statements (private firms), company ID card (optional), retirement certificate or letter, copy of pension book.

Pension Statements: Last three months.

Students:

Documents: Leave sanction letter from the educational institution (during working days), Bonafide Certificate from the educational institution (during vacations), School/College ID card (optional).

Newly Wed / Honeymooners (if the spouse's name is not endorsed in their passports):

Documents: Marriage certificate (Original), wedding invitation card/photographs (if marriage certificate is not ready).

Children Travelling Unaccompanied by Both Parents/Either Parent:

Documents: NOC from both parents mentioning whether they are accompanying or not, passport copies/copy of both/either parent, birth certificate of the applicant, and copies of parents' ID cards (if they don't have passports).

Travelers Unaccompanied by Spouses/Partners:

Documents: NOC letter from the unaccompanied spouse, passport copy of the unaccompanied spouse, or any government ID proof mentioning spouse's name if not a passport holder.

Ensure all documents are properly arranged and meet the specified requirements before submission to avoid delays in the visa application process.
