Tourist Visa

Romania Tourist Visa (C/TU) for Indian Nationals

Visa-Free Entry Conditions (Effective February 1st, 2014):

Indian nationals can enter Romania without a Romanian short stay visa if they meet one of the following conditions:

Holders of valid short-stay visas (with two or multiple entries), long stay visas, or residence permits issued by Schengen countries.

Holders of visas issued by Bulgaria, Cyprus, or Croatia.

Holders of permanent residence permits issued by the UK or Ireland (valid for 5 years or more).

Holders of local border traffic permits issued by Romanian authorities.

Note: The right to stay in Romania shall not exceed the right of stay granted by the visas/residence permits issued by the Schengen Member States.

Required Documents:

1. Passports:

o Valid passport for at least 6 months from the date of application.

o Photocopy of the data pages of the applicant's passport.

o Original old passport booklets, if any.

2. Photographs:

o Two photographs of size 3cm x 4cm with a white background and 80% face coverage.

3. Covering Letter:

o A covering letter from the applicant addressed to The Visa Officer, Embassy of Romania.

o The letter should brief the profile of the applicants and the purpose of travel with travel dates.

o The covering letter can be on plain paper for individuals and on company letterhead for officials/sponsored applicants.

4. Bank Statements:

o Original bank statements for the last 6 months with the seal and signature from the bank.

o Bank statements should show funds of maintenance of EUR 50/day for the whole period but not less than EUR 500 or the equivalent in convertible currency.

o Bank statements should be of a closing date closer to the date of visa application (A4 size preferred).

o Credit card statements for the last 6 months showing credit limit.

5. IT Returns:

o Latest 3 years Income Tax Acknowledgement/ITR-V (Saral) of individuals and the company.

6. Itinerary / Air Tickets:

o Return air tickets with all internal flight/train tickets, if any.

7. Purpose of Travel / Accommodation:

o Invitation letter approved by the General Inspectorate for Immigration – Ministry of Internal Affairs (IGI-MAI).

o Any proof of your accommodation/purpose at the destination/booking certificate and payment receipts from the tour operator.

o Hotel vouchers or other accommodation proof.

8. Supporting Credentials:

o Businessmen:

Proprietorship certificate/Certificate of Registration/Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association/Partnership Deed.

NOC from other partners or directors in case of the partnership.

o Employees:

Leave sanction letter from the company (from the Government body in case of Government employees/public servants).

Last 3 months salary statements (only for private firms).

Company ID card (optional).

Retirement certificate or letter/copy of pension book (for retired employees).

o Students:

Leave sanction letter from the educational institution (for travel during working days).

Bonafide certificate from the educational institution (for travel during vacations).

School/college ID card (optional).

o Newly Wed/Honeymooners:

Marriage certificate (original).

Wedding invitation card/photographs (in case the marriage certificate is not ready).

o Children Traveling and Unaccompanied by Both Parents/Either Parent:

A notary-attested NOC on a stamp paper from both/either of the parents, respectively, if both/either of them are unaccompanied.

Passport copies/copy of both/either of the parents.

o Travelers Unaccompanied by Spouses/Partners:

A notary-attested NOC on a stamp paper from the unaccompanied spouse.

Passport copy of the unaccompanied spouse. If not a passport holder, any government ID proof mentioning the spouse's name can be submitted.

9. Additional Supporting Documents (if available):

o FD receipts from banks.

o Public shares/debentures certificate.

o Asset evaluation report from a CA.

10. Travel Insurance:

o Travel and medical insurance valid one day longer than the period of stay covering the equivalent of 50,000 euros.
