Visa on Arrival (VOA)
• Eligibility: Indian nationals are eligible for a free Visa on Arrival in Sri Lanka, effective from 1st August 2019.
E-Visa
• Indian nationals can apply for an E-visa through the Sri Lankan ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) system.
Requirements for E-Visa Application:
Upon Arrival:
1. Passport Validity: The applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application. Clear scanned copies of the first, last, and observation pages (if any) are required.
2. Proof of Funds: All travelers should have proof of funds to cover their stay.
3. Confirmed Accommodation: Proof of confirmed accommodation is necessary.
4. Confirmed Onward/Return Air Ticket: Travelers must have a confirmed onward or return air ticket.
E-Visa Application Details:
1. Passport Details: Ensure all necessary passport details are accurately filled out in the application.
2. Accommodation Details: Provide details of confirmed accommodation.
3. Travel Details: Provide details of travel plans, including confirmed onward/return air tickets.
Steps to Apply for an E-Visa:
1. Visit the Sri Lankan ETA System: Go to the official Sri Lankan ETA website.
2. Fill Out the Application Form: Enter your passport details, accommodation details, and travel details.
3. Submit Required Documents: Upload clear scanned copies of your passport's first, last, and observation pages.
4. Pay the E-Visa Fee: Complete the payment process (if applicable).
5. Receive ETA: After submission and approval, you will receive your ETA via email.
6. Travel to Sri Lanka: Upon arrival, present your ETA along with the required documents (proof of funds, confirmed accommodation, and return ticket).
