Tourist Visa
Visa Exemption Program
Indian passport holders are eligible for a visa exemption program to stay up to 30 days for tourist or business purposes if they have a valid visa or permanent resident certificate issued by the U.S.A., Canada, Japan, U.K., Schengen Convention countries, Australia, or New Zealand. The requirements are:
1. Authorized Certificate Online Registration:
o Register online at NIA Speedy
2. Submission Requirements:
o Show the Authorized Certificate and the valid visa mentioned above when boarding the airplane and at immigration inspection.
Consulate Submission Requirements
If applying for a visa through the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India, the following documents are required:
1. Passports:
o Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application.
2. Photographs:
o Two passport-size photographs with a white background and 60% face coverage.
3. Covering Letter:
o Addressed to The Visa Officer, Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India.
o Briefing the profile of the applicants and the purpose of travel with travel dates.
o On plain paper for individuals and on company letterhead for officials/sponsored applicants.
4. Bank Statements:
o Original 3 months personal and company's bank statements with the seal and signature from the bank on each page.
o Statements should be of relevant and active accounts showing proof of funds and income.
o Statements should have a closing date closer to the date of visa application (A4 size preferred).
5. IT Returns:
o Latest 3 years Income Tax Acknowledgement/ITR-V (Saral) of individuals and the company.
6. Itinerary / Air Tickets:
o Return air tickets with all internal flight/train tickets if any.
o Day-wise itinerary of the tour.
7. Purpose of Travel / Accommodation:
o Visa Request Letter from Travel Agency in India or Taiwan with a detailed itinerary and payment proof.
o Invitation letter from Taiwan’s invitor with ID proof.
o Confirmed hotel reservations.
o Other documents related to the tour such as conference invitation or exhibition registration.
8. Supporting Credentials:
Businessmen:
o Proprietorship certificate / Certificate of Registration / Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association / Partnership Deed.
o NOC from other partners or Directors in case of a partnership.
Employees:
o Leave sanction letter from the company (from the Government body in case of Government employees/public servants).
o Last 3 months Salary Statements (only for Private firms).
o Company ID card (optional).
o Retirement Certificate or Letter / Copy of Pension Book (for retired employees).
Students:
o Leave sanction letter from the educational institution (for travel during working days).
o Bonafide Certificate from the educational institution (for travel during vacations).
o School/College ID card (optional).
Newly Wed / Honeymooners (if the spouse's name is not endorsed in their passports):
o Marriage Certificate (Original).
o Wedding Invitation card/Photographs (in case the marriage certificate is not ready).
Children Traveling and Unaccompanied by Both Parents / Either Parent:
o A notary attested NOC on a stamp paper from both/either parent respectively if both/either of them unaccompanied.
o Passport copies/copy of both/either parent.
o In case parents don't have passports, the birth certificate of the applicant and copies of the ID cards of the parents.
Travelers Unaccompanied by Spouses/Partners:
o A notary attested NOC on a stamp paper from the unaccompanied spouse.
o Passport copy of the unaccompanied spouse. If not a passport holder, any Govt ID Proof mentioning the spouse's name can be submitted.
9. Additional Supporting Documents (if available):
o FD Receipts from banks.
o Public shares/debentures certificate.
o Asset evaluation report from a CA.
10. Travel Insurance:
Valid Travel Insurance from Embassy-approved companies which covers the days of travel with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000.
Ensure all documents are prepared according to the guidelines to avoid any delays in the visa application process.
