Here is a detailed guide for obtaining a Tourist Visa for Thailand, including Visa on Arrival, E-Visa, and Consulate Submission:
Visa on Arrival (VOA)
Eligibility:
• For tourism purposes only.
• Valid for a stay of up to 15 days.
Requirements:
1. Passport:
o Valid for at least 1 month from the expiry date of the desired visa.
o At least two blank pages facing each other.
2. Photographs:
o Two recent passport-size color photographs (not older than 3 months).
o White background.
3. Visa Application Form:
o Complete and sign the On Arrival visa application form.
4. Onward & Return Ticket:
o Confirmed return air ticket.
5. Proof of Accommodation:
o Reservation details or confirmation of accommodation in Thailand.
6. Proof of Funds:
o At least 10,000 THB per person or 20,000 THB per family for the duration of stay.
7. Visa Fee:
o 2,000 THB (payable at the airport).
E-VoA (Electronic Visa on Arrival)
Documents Required:
1. Passport Cover Page and Bio Page:
o Passport must be valid for at least 30 days from the date of arrival.
o At least 1 blank page for the visa stamp.
2. Passport Size Photograph:
o Dimensions: 4x6 cm.
3. Departure and Return Airline Tickets:
o Confirmed air tickets showing a round trip within 15 days.
4. Proof of Accommodation:
o Address in Thailand should be verifiable.
5. Proof of Funds:
o At least 10,000 THB per person or 20,000 THB per family.
6. Travel Insurance:
o Covering the entire duration of stay in Thailand.
Consulate Submission (Single Entry Tourist Visa)
Documents Required:
1. Passport:
o Original passport with at least 6 months validity.
o At least 3 blank pages.
o Photocopy of the Bio Data Page (First and Last Page).
o Original old passport booklets, if any.
2. Photographs:
o One photograph taken within the last 6 months.
o Dimensions: 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm (60%-70% face appearance in white background).
3. Covering Letter:
o Addressed to The Visa Officer, Royal Thai Consulate General.
o Brief the profile, purpose of travel, and travel dates.
o Can be on plain paper for individuals or company letterhead for officials.
4. Bank Statements:
o Original 6 months personal and company bank statements with the seal and signature from the bank.
o Statements should show proof of funds and income.
o Consistent minimum balance of $700 per individual or $1400 per family (A4 size preferred).
5. Sponsorship (if applicable):
o Sponsorship letter from the family member or other sponsor.
o Bank statement of the sponsor with a consistent minimum balance equivalent to $700 per individual or $1400 per family.
o Apostilled proof of relationship with the sponsor.
6. Itinerary / Air Tickets:
o Return air tickets.
o Detailed itinerary.
7. Purpose of Travel / Accommodation:
o Hotel vouchers or proof of accommodation.
o For incentive tours, include a cover letter from both the company and travel agency with details.
o For group tours, include a letter from the tour operator with all details.
o For family visits, an invitation letter from the inviter with passport copy and residence proof.
8. Supporting Credentials:
o Businessmen: Proprietorship certificate, Certificate of Registration, etc.
o Employees: Leave sanction letter, salary statements, etc.
o Pensioners: Retirement Certificate, pension statements.
o Students: Leave sanction letter, Bonafide Certificate, school/college ID.
o Children: NOC from parents, passport copies, or birth certificate.
o Travelers Unaccompanied by Spouses/Partners: NOC from unaccompanied spouse, passport copy or government ID.
