Tourist Visa


As an Indian citizen planning to visit Timor-Leste for tourism, you have two primary options for obtaining a visa:

1. Visa on Arrival

o Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport

o Dili Sea Port

Fees:

o Single Entry Visa (up to 30 days): USD 30

o Transit Visa (for stays less than 3 days): USD 20

Requirements:

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry, with at least one blank page
  • Completed arrival card (provided at the entry point)
  • Proof of sufficient funds: USD $100 for entry plus USD $50 for each day of stay
  • Confirmed return or onward ticket
  • Evidence of accommodation arrangements​

Make sure to carry the necessary documents and proof of sufficient funds for your stay.

2. Pre-Arrival Visa Application (Recommended for Land Border Entry)

If you plan to enter Timor-Leste via a land border (e.g., from Indonesia), you must obtain a Visa Application Authorization before arrival.

Required Documents:

  • Completed application form with a recent passport-sized photograph
  • Scanned copy of your passport's bio-data page
  • Proof of departure arrangements (e.g., return ticket)
  • Evidence of sufficient funds (e.g., bank statement)
  • Proof of accommodation
  • If sponsored, a completed Sponsorship Form along with the sponsor's identification documents
