Explore Diglipur

Diglipur, the largest town in North Andaman, is a paradise for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Unlike the more frequented islands in the Andaman archipelago, Diglipur offers a serene escape with its untouched beaches, lush forests, and unique geographical wonders. One of its most iconic attractions is Ross and Smith Islands, twin islands connected by a natural sandbar, where visitors can walk between them during low tide. The crystal-clear waters and vibrant coral reefs make it a perfect spot for snorkeling and swimming. Another highlight is Saddle Peak, the highest point in the Andaman Islands, which offers a rewarding trekking experience through the tropical forest, providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Diglipur is also home to Alfred Caves, a fascinating network of limestone caves that serve as a nesting site for swiftlet birds. The Ram Nagar Beach is famous for being a nesting ground for Olive Ridley turtles, making it a must-visit for wildlife enthusiasts. Visitors can also explore the Kalipur Beach, known for its black volcanic sand and tranquil setting. Unlike the more commercialized destinations in the Andaman Islands, Diglipur remains unspoiled and less crowded, offering a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and natural beauty for travelers seeking an offbeat experience.
